lower end and shall finish without
gathers, puckers, or pleats.

along the dart, tapering from 3/8
inch at the armhole to a point at
the lower end not more than one
inch below the cut of dart.
3 Seam facing to front lining.

Finished appearance. The lining
shall be carefully and properly
aligned, and seamed to the facing
so that in the finished coat, the
lining shall be smooth and flat
along the facing without creases,
bulges, overlapping of excess
material or other defect or
distortion.
a. Position the lining on the
facing with the top edges even,
matching the notches to form chest
pleat across the chest. Bottom
finished edge of the lining shall
be matched with the notch in the
back edge of the facing to insure
proper seaming.
