45 Shape fronts.

b. Mark the fronts 1-1/4 inches below
the bottom edge of the lower pockets
for the bottom turnup.
c. Trim coat front interlining 1/4 to
5/16 inch back from top, front and
bottom edges of coat. Trim the bottom
edge of coat, matching the length of
right and left backs at the vent.

d. Marking and shaping the front
edges and trimming the bottom edge of
the coat may be accomplished with a
clicker machine using dies conforming
to patterns furnished.
e. In the finished coat, the left
front shall overlap the right front 3
to 3-1/2 inches at the bottom edge.
46 Bind bottom turnup.
Finished appearance. The binding
shall be uniformly stitched, shall not
be tight or full causing puckers,
gathers, or pleats and the basic
material and edges of binding shall be
securely caught in the stitching. The
outside raw edge only of the binding
shall be turned under and caught in
the stitching.
