58 Set shoulder strap.

a. Position shoulder straps with the
rounded end of the straps 3/4 to 7/8
inch from the edge of the neck and
finished edge of the strap 1/2 inch
behind and in line with the shoulder
seam. The raw edge of the shoulder
strap shall be positioned in line with
the armhole edge and may be trimmed if
necessary. On the finished coat, the
rounded end of the strap shall finish
1/4 to 3/8 inch from the bottom edge
of collar.

Finished appearance. The neckline
shall finish smooth and flat without
twists, pleats, or puckers. The size
label shall be positioned between the
ends of the coat hanger. Ends of coat
hanger shall be positioned so that in
the finished coat, the hanger opening
shall be 2 + 1/8 inches long when
measured along the lower edge of
collar lining.
