12 Make shoulder straps.

g. Press the straps smooth and flat
with a heated pressing iron or
pressing machine. The strap shall be
uniform in shape and size in
accordance with the pattern. The
seams shall finish at the edges of the
straps.
h. On the finished coat, the straps
shall measure 2-3/8 + 1/8 inches wide
at the armhole seam and shall taper to
1-3/4 + 1/8 inches at the eyelet end
of the buttonhole.
13 Make collar (see Figure 8).
Finished appearance. The completed
collar shall finish smooth and flat
without distortion. Edges shall be
uniformly even. The edge stitching
shall be uniform.

ply each of basic material, polyester
twill, cotton buckram and lining.
