The overlapped ends of the inner body band
shall be in the back portion of the cap not
closer than 1/2 inch of center back seam.
a. Reverse inner body band and outside
band and position inner body band to outer
band with edges even.

allowance of outer band and side, with

c. Turn cap, position bottom edge of front
stay even with bottom edge of inner body
band on inside of cap and staple front stay
to inner body band with staple 1/2 to 5/8
inch from bottom edge and centered (+ 1/8
inch) on front stay. Pull down outer band
snugly around inner band. The prongs of the
staple shall be clinched on the inside of the
cap and shall be through the twin wire tape.
Staple specified in 3.2.14.1 shall be used.
d. Superimpose ends of plastic binding and
join ends of binding, 1/8 to 1/4 inch from
raw ends. Press seam open.
