sleeves matching. Seam top and under
sleeves together 3/8 inch from
forearm edge of top sleeve, forming a
tapered outlet on the under sleeve.
b. Spread open the seam and press
flat with a heated pressing iron.
10 Join cuff to sleeve.
Finished appearance. The cuff shall
be uniformly stitched to the sleeve
without twists, gathers, puckers,
pleats or raw edges. On the finished
coat, the length of the cuff,
including the piping, shall measure
3-1/4 + 1/8 inches at the front and
back creased edges, and 6 + 1/4
inches at the point. In the finished
coat (after pressing), the point of
the cuff shall be centered between
the lower forearm creased edge and
the creased backarm seam of sleeve.
a. Mark the sleeves in accordance
with the sleeve cuff marker for
positioning of the cuffs, with notch
on the cuff marker matching the
forearm seam line and bottom edge of
marker in line with the bottom raw
edge of sleeve.
b. Position the piped edge of cuff

11 Seam sleeve at backarm.
Finished appearance. The backarm
seam shall finish smooth and flat
without twists, gathers, puckers or
pleats and shall start and finish
evenly.
