1 Cutting.

f. Cut polyester and cotton twill
cloth stays for armhole and
shoulder seams on the bias, 3/4
inch wide, 4 + 1/4 inches long for
front shoulder and armhole edge.
Cut polyester and cotton twill
cloth for inside pocket and the
stays for upper and lower pockets
and inside pocket on the straight
in accordance with the patterns
furnished. Cut polyester and
cotton twill cloth for upper and
lower pockets in accordance with
the patterns furnished.
g. Cut the cotton interlining
cloth for collar on the bias in
accordance with the pattern
furnished. Cut the cotton
interlining cloth for the belt on
the straight, 1-5/8 inches wide.
h. Dress the left vent in
accordance with the shaper
furnished.
i. The use of drill holes is
prohibited.
j. The left front shall be
dressed in the front shaping
operation only (see operation 52).

Replacement of damaged parts.
a. Replace at time of cutting any
parts of the coat containing holes
or serious weakening defects such
as smashes, multiple floats, loose
weakening slubs, other material
defects listed in MIL-STD-1490
expected to develop into holes,
shade bars and dye streaks or
unsightly slubs affecting
appearance.
