Replacement of damaged parts.
a. Replace at time of cutting any
parts containing damage, such as
holes or seriously weakening defect
such as smashes, multiple floats and
slubs likely to develop into holes.
b. Replace any parts damaged during
the manufacturing process by needle
chews which may be expected to
develop into holes, scissors or knife
cuts, tears, holes, mends or burns.
Shade marking.

a. Mark or ticket all component
parts (see 3.6.1.3) cut from one
piece of basic and lining materials,
pairs of sleeve linings when cut from
ends, to ensure uniform shade and
size throughout the jacket.
b. The use of tickets with metal
fastening devices is prohibited on
cuprammonium lining.

Make coat fronts.
a. Position the shoulder stay on the

Spread shoulder dart approximately 1
to 1-1/4 inches and stitch to stay.

stitched together prior to stitching
