Replacement of damaged parts.
a. Replace at time of cutting any
parts of jacket containing holes or
serious weakening defects such as
smashes, multiple floats, loose or
weakening slubs, etc., expected to
develop into holes, shade bars and
dye streaks or unsightly slubs, etc.,
affecting appearance.
b. Replace any parts damaged during
the manufacturing process by needle
chews which may develop into a hole,
scissors or knife cuts, tears, holes,
mends or burns in the material
affecting appearance.
Shade marking.

a. Mark or ticket (see 3.6.1) all
component parts to ensure a uniform
shade throughout the jacket and the
proper assembling of all parts.
b. If shade marking is used, the
marking shall not show through and be
visible on the outside of the jacket.
c. The use of tickets with any metal
fastening devices or sew-on shade
tickets is prohibited.

Fusing operation for parts.
a. Position the respective fusible
interlining material part on the
underside of the front, waistband
extension facing, back at bi-swing
area of each shoulder, top and bottom
pocket welt, and shoulder straps and
fuse as specified in 3.6.2.

Make knit cuffs.
a. The cuffs shall be made from one
ply of the nylon knit. The side
edges of the cuff shall be joined
with a 3/8 inch seam.
